Fitness and kit
Bushbash operates adventures in rough terrain, so you need reasonable agility and fitness to clamber over fallen logs and down small gullies and walk for most of the day. However, we do walk at a leisurely pace to reduce the risk of tripping over. Guests are required to follow the advice of Bushbash relating to clothing and kit requirements.
Our day trips are suitable for fit adults and fit and active children aged 10 or older who are used to walking in the outdoors. Our multi-day trips are suitable for people aged 16 and older.
Our cancellation and refund policy
All trips must be paid in full in advance. No refund will be made if you do not show up, or you are late and the trip has already left, or if the guide considers you inappropriate due to ill health, poor fitness or intoxication or for any other reason. You are advised to take out travel insurance to protect you against such situations. Due to advance guide bookings, refunds due to cancellation by you can only be made if you cancel a one-day trip at least seven days before your trip, or a multi-day trip at least one month before your trip. Bushbash reserves all rights to cancel any activity at its discretion. If Bushbash cannot follow the planned route of your trip for extreme weather reasons (which are unlikely) or any other reason outside the control of Bushbash, such as road closure, you will be given a full refund. However, no refund will be offered if it is possible to change your trip route. Whatever route we pick, we guarantee a Fiordland adventure. Bushbash reserves the right to cancel your trip and offer an alternate date due to lack of guest numbers. If your trip is cancelled for this reason you will be provided a full refund if not accepting an alternate date.
Payments can be made by credit card online from any country but all transactions will be processed in New Zealand Dollars. Your payment is handled by Real Time Booking Systems (RTBS) and will appear on credit card statements with the name "RTBS Ticket Money Trust". Bushbash is a New Zealand registered company, based at William Stephen road, Te Anau, Southland, New Zealand, RD1, 9679.
